Bisque head, composition body character doll with stationary glass eyes, flange head and jointed shoulders and hips. Such character dolls were popular at the turn of the century. This doll made two transatlantic trips – brought from Canada to England in 1903 as a gift from a grandfather to his granddaughter. The doll made a second journey in 1912 when its owner immigrated to Canada.
