This dollhouse was made in Boston and sold by the famous toy store F.A.O.
Schwartz in New York and was played with in Montreal in the late 1940's by the donor.
My first dollshouse was a 1940's inexpensive metal house. I loved it dearly, but always dreamed of having one like this. I found a 1940's Cabinet House at the Salvation Army Thrift Shop recently. It still had most of its original furniture and 2 little German dolls[a boy and a girl] in it.
My childhood dream has come true !

My grandmother made me my first dollhouse. It was a light pink with darker pink edges. She even made me dolls for it.
