I HAVE THIS EXACT SAME HOUSE SITTING ON MY BEDROOM CHEST-OF-DRAWERS. I RECEIVED THIS HOUSE FOR CHRISTMAS WHEN I WAS A CHILD. IT IS BY MARX AND THE FURNITURE THAT CAME WITH IT ARE MARKED AS SUCH. OTHER PIECES OF FURNITURE IN MY HOUSE WERE BOUGHT AS REPLACEMENT PIECES AT A LATER DATE. THESE PIECES ARE MARKED RENWAL. I REMEMBER THE HOUSE CAME IN A FLAT BOX AND MY DADDY HAD TO ASSEMBLE IT.
MY SISTER AND I HAD MANY HOURS OF HAPPY PLAY.

We had one of these when I was small. It wasn't exactly the same, but it must have been made by the same company. Ours was a one level model. I remember the painted details on the tin, and the little metal (tin?) tabs that held it together. It was actually quite light to carry. It was detailed on the outside as well. These days, they are made of plastic with stickers for the kids to apply, and then they start peeling off and it looks terrible. Wish they had these still. Brings back alot of memories!

I grew up in a family of seven children, 5 girls and 2 boys. We had a doll house just like this -- indeed we still do. I am now a mother of 2 children, a boy and a girl, and this same doll house is now a part of our home. While much of the furniture is broken and long gone, a few pieces still remain. We have the deluxe model of the house complete with carport and games room. When I was a little girl I spent many hours day-dreaming about owning a home just like this one -- just as my son and daughter have done in recent years.
