I believe my Barabara Ann Scott doll is the 1951 version. As a child I spent many happy hours playing with her. In spite of that she reamins in pretty good condition. Her skates have been replaced and she does not have a hat or headpiece.

I am seeking a glass display case for her. Does anyone know where I could find one? I want to preserve her for my newly arrived grand-daughter.

When I was very young my mother gave me a Barbara Ann Scott doll and a Cinderella doll. I beleive first the Cinderella. She allowed me to open the gift, then put it up in her closet. I never ever played with or enjoyed either doll. When my daughter Shelley was born, I gave them both to her. I let her destroy them and to this day, I have been looking for either. I dearly would like to buy one of these or both if I could find them. Everytime we go on a family vacation or travel I look for the dolls. My mother has passed away, and when I read all the notes above I beleive she would of bought them both at either Eatons or Woodwards. Please let me know if you know a way I can buy either.

I was was five years old during the last of the 1940's. Every little Canadian girl wanted a Barbara Ann Scott doll. I asked for a Barbara Ann doll for Christmas, but even I could see that they were expensive, about $6 from the Eaton's catalogue. I was told that I couldn't receive one as they were too expensive. That Christmas morning in the last of the 1940's, I ran to the tree to open my Santa's present first - and there she was!!! A beautiful Barbara Ann Scott doll in her blue velvet costume. I have treasured that doll ever since, and still put it out under our Christmas tree. She got slightly loved to death, and my Mom burned her shoes up by mistake in the fireplace cleaning up the paper that Christmas morning so long ago, but I can still relive that wonderful morning so long ago. Probably the best Christmas present I have ever got, or will ever get.

My Barbara Ann Scott doll is the 1950 version with
the red velvet dress. She is not in PERFECT condition
but I have loved her over the years. She was saved to
give to a grandaughter and alas, I have three grandsons! I am now prepared to sell her.

My Barbara Ann Scott doll has a blue dress and everything is original about her, right down to her socks and skates. The hair has not been combed or the dress removed. I was an only child and I had a few dolls and she was special, so I did not play with her. I also have the box that she came in and my mom purchased her for $5.95 at that time. I'm hoping to leave her to my grandchildren someday.

I received my Barbara Ann Scott doll for Christmas when I was 8 yrs old and I still have her today. I remember this Xmas so well as my older sister had found and disclosed the hiding place for our presents and had showed me the dolls. She also informed me that there was no Santa Claus. I didn't believe her until Xmas morning when low and behold the dolls arrived from Santa. I didn't forgive her for several years but I'm so happy my mother chose this one for me.
