Potato sack races are most appreciated during country fairs and great picnics. Children get into a jute bag. At the starting signal, they jump like kangaroos to get to the finish line. All race games call for speed, strength, and flexibility. They cause laughter, involve certain abilities, and their rules are normally simple.
at school I played it. we were classmates 4 in all the rest were younger to us. i am first in games like nundi, runnig, kabadi, coco etc and eager to make a mark in this too. but i feared to place myself in a sack. some unknown dislike. i dislike jute and that made me dull. rukku, my friend asked me to look at play and the 2 lanes and the space that to be covered. i was alert. when signalled i started to proceed. Oh, managing myself and to step ahead was not easy. it needs a kind of plan mind and body to tune. i tuned well and ofcourse got talia and a prize- a jute purse!!!!!!!!
